A Band With A Different Approach!
In the world of live music , most bands today define themselves in very specific contexts. By genre, a blues band, a rock band, a jazz band etc. Thieves and Poets takes a different path. As an instrumental band, people might peg us as Jazz. While we apply a “jazzy” feel to what we do, we are drawing out of a songbook that covers all genres. We are drawing from the music that we love and has influenced us. So that might be Miles Davis but it might be Santana or it might be Hendrix or Sade!
Being instrumentalists, we feel we are also challenged to make our arrangements unique because we don’t have a vocalist. After over ten years of being together, I think we have it pretty well figured out. Take a moment and give us a listen!
